The John Radcliffe Hospital is our latest Wink Winner!
The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford recently became a double beneficiary of Wink when we matched a £600 donation made by Myra Carbin, our £25,000 game winner! Wink Bingo took Myra and her daughter back to the hospital to present our cheque, and you can see the moment captured on camera in my Holly’s Space album!
Myra’s six year old daughter received urgent heart by-pass surgery when she was only four weeks old at the John Radcliffe Hospital, so she donated some of her winnings to help the hospital purchase an infusion pump. We were so touched by the story, that we also decided to donate and help the hospital purchase even more vital equipment for their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Penny Hambridge, Children’s Development Officer at John Radcliffe Hospital, commented “We are extremely grateful to both Myra and Wink Bingo for their amazing donations to the Children’s Intensive Care Unit. Donations such as these enable us to buy equipment beyond what the NHS alone can fund and this is a wonderful example of how people in the Community can support the Hospital.”
