I'd been playing at the Wink Bingo site for a couple of weeks prior to my £3k win and although I'd had successes here and there, my luck hadn't really been with me. In fact, I was in two minds whether to even purchase tickets for the 3K game. However, I decided to try my luck and bought a few tickets a couple of days before the big game. I then kept nipping back to the jackpot room to buy a few more tickets and actually when the game started I realised I'd purchased the maximum 24 tickets! £24 is a reasonable amount of money to spend but then again I thought it's not often you get to play for a £3000 prize!
I joined the jackpot chat room about 30 minutes prior to the big game starting. It was cool to chat with the other players and I even got talking to a previous £5k winner! I was slightly concerned that some people were saying previously the bingo server had crashed meaning players couldn't see their tickets but I needn't have worried - when the countdown clock reached zero my tickets appeared and the game was started!
To begin with I really didn't seem to be getting anywhere. In fact, I could see in the chat box people writing '10tg' or similar and I think my best card still needed about 15 or 16 calls! I began cycling through my cards though and suddenly saw one card that seemed to be keeping up with everyone else's. I actually remember thinking 'at least I have a chance!'. I cycled through my tickets a bit more but realised that this one card was going to be my only hope!
Suddenly the balls just seemed to keep coming and the magic '3tg' symbol appeared. I remember looking in the chat box and thinking not many people seemed to be at the same point as me and so my heart started to race a little! I remember I needed three numbers to appear - 5, 48 and 69. Almost straight away number 69 appeared and then five calls later so did number 5! I really was excited at this point and crossed my fingers just willing the number 48 to appear. And then, on the 54th call number 48 was announced and I had won! Within seconds the confirmation screen appeared and I was the only listed winner - I had just won £3000! The chat box was full of 'WTG' and I couldn't quite believe it. But then the money appeared in my account and I knew it was for real!
That night I just kept returning to my account to see the money sitting there - what a great way to finish a boring Tuesday! All I have to do now is win the 5k and 10k jackpots to complete my set!
