Top Tips for Avoiding Jet Lag

Jet lag is something everyone faces whether they go for a leisure trip for they go for a business meeting. For some people they are not really affected much but others are affected very badly. Now this is something that most people want to avoid. Now there are a few tips which can help you avoid this jet lag.

The first and most important one is to have a lot of water while you are on the flight as well as before the flight too. This way you will be able to avoid dehydration. You will need to be hydrated if your flight is a very long one. Now you should also try and avoid alcohol during the flight and try not to have medicines which are not required during the flight.

Make sure that you get an ample amount of sleep before the flight. You also should try and get a lot of sleep during the flight if it is a long one. This way the jet lag won’t affect you all that much. But make sure that you sleep when it your time to sleep in the city where you are and that you stay awake when it is morning in your city. This way you will be able to adjust before you touch down in your city.

Now another thing you can do is make sure that you walk around quite a lot while you are in the cabin. Make sure that you exercise. Move your feet around simply while you are sitting if you can’t move around the plane. This will keep the circulation going in your feet which usually slow down and hence your jet lag will increase but exercising or simply moving will help this.

Now you also have to control your eating. Don’t have anything which is very heavy or which is overly fried or has too many sauces and so on in it. Try and have something which is very light and healthy too. Also the best way to overcome jet lag is to start relaxing once you have reached your specified destination.

Also if nothing else works then you have tablets which help to get rid of jet lag. There are “no jet lag” tablets which you will be able to purchase in the markets. But make sure you go for these if nothing else works for you.
