How to Make Sure That You’re Child Eats Properly before an Exam

When your child prepares for an exam you have to make sure that he or she doesn’t get mentally as well as physically exhausted. This is just as important as knowing their learning materials. You have to make sure that they eat properly before their exams. This way they will be able to focus properly during the exams and they will be able to answer all of the questions properly. You have to make sure that your child does not have fatigue or even hunger pains.
• Make sure that your child has a meal which is well balanced before they give the actual exam. If you see that the exam is in the morning they have to eat breakfast no matter what. Make sure that you include a protein along with a fruit so that it gives you the energy that they need.
• Make sure that they get their daily dose of good protein rich foods like nuts or eggs or yogurt or even cottage cheese. This should be given to them during lunch as well as breakfast too, the day they go to give the test. These will help them the entire day.
• You can also keep giving them light meals throughout when they study. This is a lot better than giving them meals which are heavy. The heavy dishes usually cause them to be very drowsy and then they won’t be able to study. If your child isn’t hungry then don’t force him or her to eat. You don’t want your child to fall asleep just before a test.
• Don’t give your child caffeine. You need to stop it during the exams but then stopping caffeine completely might give you headaches. But then if you have excess amounts of caffeine you will find that you are getting very jittery so try and substitute it with green tea.
• A good idea would be to give your child a multi vitamin everyday. Vitamin B along with Omega 3 will help to increase the functionality of your brain. But then you will also need a range of other vitamins as well so that your body stays healthy.
• You can give your children protein shakes or smoothies or any sort of health drink. This is a really good idea if your see that your child is scared to eat. These drinks will help to give your child energy.

How you Treat Hiccups for Infants

When babies have hiccups it might be uncomfortable for the baby. But then you will find that you as a parent are even more anxious about it and you will feel more uncomfortable than the baby. When it comes to infant ailments, hiccups are actually very common. This happens because of the sudden contractions which takes place in the diaphragm muscles.
Now usually infants have very frequent feeding times, so they suck the bottle quite often. Hence this sucking and breathing movements lead to a lot of frequent hiccups. Now these hiccups are very harmless and are usually quite temporary but then you can still treat them in a few ways.
• You can offer your baby to drink something. What to offer the baby will basically depend on the age of the child. If the child is very small then you can offer him or her breast milk or baby formulae. If the baby is slightly older then you can offer the baby water or even juice. The drinking motion will help to regulate the breathing of the baby and it will relax the muscles of the diaphragm and hence the hiccups will stop.
• You can even try and pat your baby. Sometimes hiccups take place because your baby swallows an excess of air. Just like you would do when you want your baby to burp you can try and do the same thing. Your baby might just burp and release all the excess air and this will help to stop the hiccups.
• If your baby is at an age where he or she can have foods which are solid then you can try and feed your baby sugar. You just have to place a tiny little bit on his or her tongue. This sudden sweet taste will shock the nerves of the baby and they will help to stop the hiccups. But make sure that you do not give your child honey.
• If you relax the baby the hiccups might cease. All you have to do is change the position that the baby is in, and then rub the back of the baby and the hiccups will be gone.
• Finally you can simply let time take its course. After sometime the hiccups will stop. So all you have to do is wait for it to go away.

Now it might burn a hole in your pockets but getting either a nanny or a baby sitter is the best thing to do for the care of your child. Now whether you will get a sitter or a nanny will depend on the age of your child the hours of care which are needed and any other expectations.
If you need a sitter for just a few hours then the baby sitter is the best bet for you. The sitter ensures that your child is comfortable and safe for a few hours. But then if you need someone to look after your child for a bigger part of the day and also on a regular basis, then you need to get a nanny. They are the ones who help to raise the children along with the parents and they teach children to be responsible and they teach them values.
Now there also arises the question about experience. A sitter is usually a teen or a young adult so that don’t have much experience or even any sort of training usually. But then the nannies work with agencies, are professionally trained and even have written recommendations. So they are the ones who are backed by the companies they work for. So if you need someone who has more experience then you should probably get nannies.
You can even negotiate with your sitter about the looking after household chores. This will require additional pay but you will get your work done. You have to keep in mind that taking care of young children is very hard so you need to ask for simple household chores like say clean up or laundry.
Then is the discipline of the child. Usually a sitter will make sure that your child is completely disciplined. But then the sitters are usually less concerned. Finally comes the pay rate.
