Who Is The UK Bingo Association?
The UK Bingo Association is the trade association of the licensed bingo industry in Great Britain, representing the proprietors of bingo clubs licensed under the Gaming Act 1968.
Many UK bingo players are probably not aware that there is a Bingo Association that keeps all of the UK bingo halls and clubs abreast of any changing governmental developments in the United Kingdom. It is a trade association that licensed dealers formed and it is able to not only help UK bingo players in their enjoyment of the game, but also help the game organizers make things run more efficiently in their own UK bingo halls.
The UK Bingo Association takes care of a few aspects of the game, but they also help assess governmental rebates that UK bingo operators may be eligible for in order to help them promote the game and the industry as a whole. They were part of the push to get only a partial ban on smoking in the UK bingo halls in an effort to protect the rights of their smoking bingo players, but they and smoking UK bingo players were shot down and full ban was imposed.
Now, the Bingo Association is attempting to secure a 10 million pound rebate from the government in order to help offset the revenue that the industry has lost from the smoking ban. For their efforts they have also added fighting against a double tax that is being assessed by the government on UK bingo halls for VAT and the Amusement Machine License Duty. They truly are the advocate of the UK bingo player and they are in a unique position to help because the UK bingo industry contributes heavily to the treasury. They can take their arguments straight to the government and not worry about dealing with middlemen.
Thanks to the Bingo Associations success there is now in the works a similar organization has been formed that works with the online UK bingo websites. It’s called Eubingo and the UK Bingo Association is a member of it. The members of Eubingo also include European online bingo providers.
Both associations help UK bingo players, clubs, halls, and websites up to date on gaming laws that affect their countries and the bingo industry as a whole. They work with the governments to get players the best bingo packages possible and they are instrumental in keeping the bingo industry, both at traditional bingo halls and online consistently growing in their respective countries.
