The Difference Between 75 And 90 Ball Bingo
Playing online bingo is a great way for you to get your bingo fix when there isn’t a fun game of bingo to be had. At Wink Bingo and many other online bingo sites, we feature two types of online bingo for your enjoyment. 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo are both popular versions of this game, with 90 ball bingo being more recognized in the United Kingdom, Australia, and parts of Europe and South America. 75 ball bingo is more commonly played in North America.
75 ball online bingo is played using a five square by five square virtual card that contains the numbers 1 through 75 on it beneath the corresponding letters of the word ‘Bingo’. In this variation of the game, the players can get bingo not only by filling in entire horizontal, vertical or diagonal lines, but by also completing a variety of theme patterns. For example, your online bingo game could require you to complete letter ‘A’ – which will be outlined for you on the board so you know which spaces you need – in order to get bingo. The variations of patterns for 75 ball bingo are unlimited and players should always make it a point to watch the screen carefully when playing online bingo so they know what pattern to make.
On the other hand, online bingo that is played with 90 balls is slightly different. The online bingo card has three horizontal rows and nine columns. Each line contains only 5 numbers for a total of 15 numbers on the card. Each column is number 1 through 9, 10 through 19, 20 through 29, and so on through the last column which is 80 through 90.
Play between 75 and 90 bingo is also a little different. 90 ball online bingo is played in three stages, meaning that there could be three different winners during the play of one set of cards. The first stage of the game requires the players to match the five numbers contained on one horizontal line. Stage two requires that players match the five numbers contained on two horizontal lines. This means they have bingo on two different lines for a total of ten number matches. The third stage requires the player to simply mark off all fifteen numbers on their card as if they were playing the ‘Blackout’ variation. This variation is more commonly known as the ‘Full House’. The prizes are split between each stage of the game with the final stage paying out the most.
