Bingo Glossary: G-Z

One of the most enjoyable parts of playing Bingo is the strong sense of community that players develop with one another. A key factor in binding the Bingo community together is the common use of Bingo terminology. Though at first it might sound strange, using the Bingo language is a great way to become a true member of your favorite online Bingo site.

Check out these commonly used Bingo phrases from G-Z:

Game Room: Playing rooms in online Bingo. These rooms differ in the style of Bingo being played, minimum buy-in amounts, and jackpot prizes.
Hard Ball: The first number to be drawn at the start of Bingo gaming.
Hardway Bingo: The nickname given to a Bingo win that covers all five numbers in either a Horizontal Row or Vertical Column pattern without using the Free Space in 75 Ball Bingo.
Inside Square: The 75 Ball Bingo pattern where players have to mark all of the squares in the “I,” “N,” and “G” columns (15 squares total including the Free Space).
Jackpot: The big prize offered for a particularly difficult Bingo game.
Minimum Buy-In: The minimum amount a player must spend to enter a Bingo game and be eligible to receive prize winnings.
Money Ball: A random ball selected at the beginning of the game. If a player wins a game with the Money Ball as the winning number, the player can win double the amount.
Moonlight Bingo: Late-night Bingo sessions.
Multiple Winners: If more than one person wins a Bingo game at the same time, there will be multiple winners and the pot will be split amongst them all.
On: Players say that they’re “on” when they only need one more number to make Bingo.
One Line Across: The winning 90 Ball Bingo pattern achieved when a player covers all five numbers in one line of the card.
Progressive Jackpot: If nobody wins Bingo within a given amount of calls, the jackpot continues to increase until a player finally wins.
RNG (Random Number Generator): The machine used in Bingo Halls to electronically call numbers at random. It replaces the antiquated cage ball method in which numbered balls were placed in a cage and spun until one ball emerged.
Two Lines Across: The winning 90 Ball Bingo pattern that requires players to cover all 10 numbers on two lines of a Bingo card.
Wrap Up: A Bingo session’s last game.
