The Rules of UK Bingo
Curious about how to play 90-Ball Bingo? This game is very different from American, or 75-Ball Bingo. The main difference is the Bingo card. While a 75-Ball Bingo card is a 5×5 square with “B-I-N-G-O” written across the top, a Bingo card in the UK doesn’t have the word “Bingo” written on it at all. Rather, the card consists of 3 rows with 9 columns in each. There are 6 cards on a full ticket and players must play all of them. Each row has 5 numbers in it and all 90 numbers are accounted for on the full ticket.
Numbers are called out and players mark them off on their ticket. When a player wins, he shouts out “Bingo!”
How does a player win at UK Bingo? There are several types of ways to become a winner at bingo. A player can win with a 1-line win, by marking off all of the numbers in a single line; A player can also win with a 2-line win, by marking off all the numbers in any two lines of a card; Or a player can with by achieving a Full House, marking off all numbers on a card.
